Gweldorin Hazelnut Chocolate Cake with Strawberry Fruits
Requirements for 5 persons:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of chocolate
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- 2 tablespoons Gweldorin seeds (crushed)
- 1/2 cups hazelnuts, finely ground
Instructions:
Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
Step 2:
In a bowl, combine the finely ground hazelnuts, all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3:
In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 4:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
Step 5:
Gently fold in the chocolate and diced strawberries.
Step 6:
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
Step 7:
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 8:
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 9:
Add pieces of strawberries and crushed Gweldorin seeds on top of the cake for a better visual and more crunch!
